After serving parents and children of Tien-Mu community for more then 12 years; ABC English School has concluded its operation in August of 2009. On behalf of Jane and all ABC employees, we like to thank you for your continued support. It has been a great pleasure working with you.
This website (http://www.abces.org) will remain open until the domain name expires in June of 2010. After this point the site will be moving to a new address (http://abceschool.blogspot.com) and hopefully mighty Google will help to keep it open for the years to come. This will serve as a place for us to remember the life at ABC, a platform to keep in touch and maybe even a reunion can take place someday.
Jane now lives in Tai-Chung city with her son, daughter in law and their child. She also serve as a volunteer for National museum of Natural Science. She can be reach on Facebook. She would like to hear from you!

在服務天母地區的家長與小朋友十二年後，ABC English School在2009年8月劃上圓滿的休止符。我在此謹代表Jane與ABC所有的職員再與您說聲「謝謝！」，感謝各位朋友的支持與鼓勵，讓我們在人生當中留下一段難忘的回憶。

Hello! My name is Yi Gin Chung. The word Gin means jade in Chinese. My mother and my father named it. My parents named it like this because they wanted me to become smart and beautiful. I like my name very much.
There are 42 people in my family. I live with my mother, my father and my brother. I like my brother the most because he teaches me how to play piano. Also, my family goes to Japan once a year. We usually take so many beautiful pictures there. I like my family so much.
At school, Karen and Candy are my best friends. We play hide-and-seek together everyday. One day, I forgot to bring my color pen, and I borrowed it from Karen. One another day, Candy forgot to bring her pencil box, she borrowed pencils and an eraser from me. We are friends because we always play together and help each other.
I am a girl but I don’t have long hair. Also, I don’t like to wear dresses or play with Barbie, maybe it is because of the fact I only have an older brother to play with. One thing I like to do is to play sports, and my favorite sports are swimming and table tennis. Sometimes I will play baseball or basketball. I like to play sport because I can stay healthy, and I can run and jump. I wish I can be an athlete that play table tennis well and win many prizes. I like who I am.

I like my mother the most because my mother always buys many toys and cute things for me. However, my father always disagrees because we spend too much money. I also like my aunt! Because she often takes me to many interesting places or movies. One special thing about my family is that when we get to 15 years old, our aunt will become godmother. One of my family’s greatest memories is the trip of taking a boat called “Star Cruise”. That was a lo of fun, but I had seasick during this trip. We went to Okinawa. We ate ramen and bought many interesting things. I will always remember this family trip!
At school, I have many friends. They are funny, smart and humorous. One of my friends is Amy. I met her at kindergarten, we met each other again in Grade 1. When we had the same swimming class, we wore the same swimming suit with the same color. If we play together, someone may ask, “Are you sisters?”. We look almost the same. However, sometimes we will be mad at each other, then both of us will be very sad. There is one special thing about Amy, her voice sounds like a boy. Also, she does not play with girls’ stuff. 我有許多壞習慣，像是我因為很懶惰，所以同學都覺得我怪怪的。
雖然我很懶惰，但是我也有不錯的地方，那就是我會幫媽媽做家事，有一次，我還幫媽媽搥背呢！我媽媽對我說謝謝，我好高興。
壞習慣我會改過，優點我會一直保持下去。

我有許多壞習慣，像是考試粗心都考九十幾分。
雖然我考試都九十幾分，但是我也有不錯的地方，那就是自己刷牙，每一次我一定會自己刷牙，所以我的牙齒很健康。
我覺得我應該要改掉我的壞習慣，然後維持自己的優點，才會考一百分。

我有許多壞習怪，像是動不動就會生氣，所以有時候同學會不理我，而且我考試時有時候會粗心，我一定要改過這些壞習慣。
雖然我有那麼多個壞習怪，但是我也有不錯的地方喔！那就是我會常常幫助別人，有一次，有人在大操場玩遊戲時不小心跌倒受傷了，我就帶他到健康中心；如果有人數學作業不會寫，我就會主動的去幫助他。我還喜歡看書、畫畫，美勞課時，老師還讚美我呢！而且，我還是老師的小幫手，有任何的問題，我都會主動幫忙老師，所以，我也有很多的優點喔！
我覺得我們應該繼續保持我們的優點，至於我們的壞習慣一定要快點改進，你才會變成一個人見人愛的小朋友喔！

我有許多壞習慣，像是我在考試的時候，常常粗心大意，明明可以考一百分，可是卻常常沒看清楚題目就作答，所以，媽媽老是因為我而生氣得不得了，也造成我常常愛比較。
雖然我有很壞的習慣，但是我也有不錯的地方，那就是熱心助人，有一次，我們去自來水博物館，當我們往上走時，到了一個有很多水管的地方，當我們玩到一半時，卉婷不小心跌倒了，結果原本受過傷的地方，因為跌到就流血了，於是我請別人一起扶他去找老師，請老師幫忙。
缺點雖然不能被優點蓋住，但我可以繼續發現自己以前並沒有發現的優點，並讓缺點消失，這樣就能變得更好。

我有許多壞習慣，像是考試時粗心大意，所以每一次我明明能考一百分，可是卻只拿到九十分，回家後又被罵，所以以後一定要檢查。
雖然我有很多壞習慣，但是我也有不錯的地方，那就是我很會游泳，上個禮拜我去參加奧林匹克游泳比賽，那天有許多人參加，我的游泳老師卻告訴我不要擔心，只要盡全力去比就好，結果我的自由式拿到三十六秒，而仰式拿到四十二秒，分別得到第二十七名和第三十六名呢！
雖然我有許多優點，也有許許多多的缺點，但我一定得去克服，像考試粗心大意，那就一定得檢查三遍再交卷，還有考試前多多複習，這樣考試就能考得更好，也達到爸爸媽媽，以及老師們得要求，這樣人生一定會更生動更有趣！

我的許多壞習慣，像是愛講話，所以我常常被老師罵。
雖然我有愛講話的缺點，但是我也有很不錯的地方，那就是很有愛心。有一次我在路上看到一隻兔子的腳受傷了，一開始我不知如何幫兔子包紮，可是看他可愛的眼神，我覺得我好軟弱，突然我靈機一動，想起還有動物醫院，所以我就用我最快的速度跑到動物醫院，把兔子送到那兒，可是已經無藥可救了，我哭了一天一夜，一直為我的疏忽感到難過。
我一定要改正我的缺點，並且優點要保持下去。

雖然我有這個缺點，但是我也有不錯的地方，像是會幫媽媽分擔工作，例如煮飯、洗衣服、掃地。有一次媽媽出國，洗衣服、摺衣服、煮飯、掃地、拖地等工作都是我在做的，媽媽回來時還大大的誇讚我呢！讓我立志以後一定幫媽媽更多的忙，不會故意不做事，老師也會誇獎我好會做事。

雖然我壞習慣非常多，讓老師們都認為我是個壞小孩，但是我也有不錯的地方，那就是愛運動，會幫爸爸、媽媽和老師做事，會自己起床，部會讓爸媽操心，熱心助人；和朋友有難同當，有福同享；陪爺爺聊天。有一次，我朋友受傷了，我二話不說就扶他到保健室，當他行動不便時，我會幫他拿書，減輕他的負擔，當他身體不舒服時，我會打電話到他家關心慰問。
我覺得如果要改進我的缺點的話，首先，我上課要專心，然後話要少一點，並且增加我的優點，才能讓自己愈來愈棒。

今年的暑假班將於7/6開始至於8/28結束共八週。
在這期的暑假班除了基本課程英文、數學外‚我們還安排了呂老師的中文作文及YMCA的游泳課以增加孩子們的語文能力及體能‚另安排了每週五的校外教學‚希望孩子們能到戶外親近大自然、呼吸新鮮空氣。

Do you know about the bear? If you don't know, I'd like to tell you some interesting facts. What do bears look like? The bear is about 5 feet tall and weighs around 375 pounds. It looks like a wolverine. Bears can be different colors---black, brown, white, blonde, bluish brown and cinnamon. Bears eat grass, berries, nuts and other plants. If there is not enough food, they will eat small animals and fish. They eat a lot during the fall so that they will have enough fat to live on during hibernation. Bears live in the heavily forested areas particularly in the hills and mountains and moist tropical forests. Bears live in caves called『dens.』
Bears have clubs mainly in January and February, right after hibernation. Twins are most common. Healthy cubs weigh less than one pound. For the first few months, the cubs are blind. When they first come out of the den they weigh 4-8 pounds. The mother teaches the cubs how to catch food, climb trees and how to go in and out of the den.
Are the bears endangered? Yes, because people cut the trees in the forests and destroy the bear´s habitat and since bears are not social animals, they run away and do not have a place to stay.
Facts:
1. Every year they go into a deep sleep called hibernation.
2. They will eat insects, rats, mice, caterpillars and even yellow jackets.
3. Bears are not big meat eaters.
4. The largest bear weighed over 800 pounds.
5. If you get attacked by a bear, the best thing to do is to lie down on the ground and pretend that you are dead.

The animal world is amazing because there are many animals that we don't know in the forests, so we need to see that amazing animals. Now we need to go to the zoo to find animals, not forest because it’s too far.
First, we see cheetahs. They are very fierce because they are carnivorous, so they want to eat meat. Second, we see gazelles. They are very cute, but some of the male gazelles are very fierce. Some other animals will bully gazelles’ baby. Third, we see flamingos. They always sleep by one foot because when other animals disturb them, they can fly away. Last, we see koalas. They spend most of the time sleeping because when they finish their food, they will sleep a long time, maybe a day.
The animal world is amazing, you can visit it. It will be very cool, very fun. Now this story need to be the end.

In the animal world, my favorite animal is Panda
because they're cute and quiet. They're not like those animals that will bite people and other animals. The Panda's staple food is bamboo. They will not kill animals to eat them.
Before, we couldn't see Panda in Taiwan. So we need to go to China to see them. But now we can see them in the Taipei Zoo because China gave Taiwan two Pandas. Their names are Tuan-Tuan (boy) and Yuan-Yuan(girl). I hope one day I can see them.
When I read about the Giant Panda on the internet, they said it can climb a tree very fast. I thought that must be impossible because they are so big. They also said that Pandas are very shy.
For my birthday wishes, I hope I can get 2 Pandas to keep at home. But that is really impossible because there are only two Pandas in Taiwan now. And they are too big to keep at home.
Then, I hope that I can get a dog.

In the Animal World, there are a lot of different kinds of animals.
Some animals are carnivorous, like lions and tigers. Some animals are nice because they are vegetarian, like pandas, fish, birds and butterflies. Lions and tigers are more dangerous because they will eat each other.
My like LIONS the best because they will eat other animals, I think that is cool. But in my opinion, PEOPLE are the King of the Animal World because people are omnivorous.

Title: The Insect World
In the insect world, I like caterpillars the best because they are very cute.
What I also like very much is that one day the caterpillar becomes a butterfly. That is very beautiful and it always makes me happy because a butterfly's body has the colors of the rainbow.
It is also interesting that their feet are very short and look like branches or bird droppings. The way it moves is also very cute. Kind of like a turtle crawls…very, very slowly.
When I was young, my mother gave me a caterpillar to raise. At first, I was very scared of caterpillars. But my mother taught me how to take care of the them and then I was not scared any more.
I really love caterpillars, they are cute and cool. I like them the best.
